Mike is a Professional Construction Framer and Handyman
who loves the outdoors. Boating, camping, fishing, hunting, archery, horseback
riding, motorcycles are just a few of his many passions. He's a collector of Medieval Times
Collectibles. In addition to that he's a skilled Mediterranean
Chef and makes beautiful custom kites that fly like the wind. He's handy with
mechanical repairs too. Dawn also
discovered he is also a talented ceramist in his own right.
He never ceases to amaze us. He's a full time Dad who always makes time
for his kids.
Dawn is a graduate of
Commercial Art of Nassau Technical School, Long Island, NY. She studied
ceramics and worked at Duncan's Distributor Marion's Ceramic Studio in
North Massapequa. She tried her hand at teaching ceramics which is
having difficult times because women are in the work force and many
with talent have moved on to make a living in other pursuits. Many of
them creating ceramic products for the commercial market. She developed
her talent in working with wet clay from casting ceramic pieces from
hobby molds. There is no one else making caketops like this because they
require special skills not only to create the form but in finishing the
piece from idea to finished product.
